This 2-day residential course is held in collaboration with the UK Anaerobe Reference Unit and Public Health Wales, in Cardiff.

Course Aims

  • Promote understanding and awareness of anaerobic bacteria in clinical material.
  • Provide insight into their relevance in clinical microbiology.
  • Offer a foundation of competence in methods used for their isolation and identification.
  • Raise the standards of anaerobic microbiology in clinical laboratories.

Each registration includes:

  • One night’s accommodation in Cardiff.
  • Transportation to and from the lectures.
  • All course materials.
  • Breakfast, lunches, refreshments, and a three-course dinner.
