Description
The measurement electrode is made of a special glass sensitive to hydrogen ions and is filled with a buffer solution with a pH of 7. Immersing the electrode in a sample leads to a change in the potential of the measuring electrode compared to the reference. This change will be detected by appropriate instruments and converted into a pH reading.
